Abstract:
An upward looking wave-upgraded ADCP was moored on the bottom at station OB5 in Onslow Bay, North Carolina at 30 m depth on the continental shelf. Current data are sampled over 15 minute periods. Depth bins are 1 meters. The first bin is centered at 26.8 m depth and subsequent bins are spaced at 1.0 meter intervals above that. The last couple of bins are above the surface, and so are not useful. Waves bursts were collected every 4 hours. Each burst contains 2400 samples collected at 2 Hz. Processing was done by Frederick M. Bingham, a professor of phyics at UNC Wilmington. Raw ADCP files were extracted from the instrument. Data have not been quality controlled in any way. This metadata record describes the raw file downloaded directly from the instrument.
