What does this data set describe?

Title:
ADCP Data from OB1, Coastal Ocean Research and Monitoring Program, Onslow Bay, North Carolina, October 2002 - January 2003
Abstract:
An upward looking ADCP was moored on the bottom at station OB1 in Onslow Bay, North Carolina at 26 m depth on the continental shelf. The current data are sampled with 1 ping every 1:20 and 45 pings are averaged to form an ensemble. The sample interval is 1 hour. 20 Depth bins with width 1.25 meter. The first bin is centered at 22.5 m depth and subsequent bins are spaced at 1.25 meter intervals above that. The last couple of bins are above the surface, and so are not useful. Wave parameters were sampled with 2400 pings collected at 2 Hz every 4 hours. Raw ADCP files were extracted from the instrument. Data have not been quality controlled in any way. This metadata record describes the raw file downloaded directly from the instrument.
Supplemental_Information: Sensor name: RDI Workhorse Sentinel, 300 kHz.
