Ocean Crest Pier has been outfitted with real time meterological and oceangraphic equipment.
- Ocean Crest Pier provides real time weather data: air temperature, wind speed, wind direction,barometric pressure, humidity and solar radiation; real time water temperature, salinity, current and wave height measurements.
- Ocean Crest Pier real time data is listed on the CORMP site at OCP1.
UNCW offers a course in Marine Science for educators.
- This course will provide valuable science experience for science education teachers and students through involvement in lab and field activities with UNCW's Coastal Ocean Research and Monitoring Program.
